Enhanced Learning and Teaching Assistants (ELTA)

Who its for?

For teaching assistants to develop their skills in a range of areas to maximise their impact and effectiveness when working with young people. Staff will be developing teaching strategies which are directly linked to the Early Career Framework.

Content

This course is made up of three targeted full day sessions based in one or more of our CAM Academy Trust schools.

Each day includes a tour of the school including visiting some lessons or may include a more focussed observation.
Content includes

• positive behaviour management
• ways to support the development of both literacy and numeracy skills
• development of AFL strategies including expert questioning.
